Host Security Module Server

The Host Security Module Server is a software application that operates as a Windows NT service on CSFi’s u/SNAC PC enabling a serial-attached HSM security device local area network (LAN) connectivity.

This service enables the sharing of a single HSM device amongst multiple u/SWITCHWARE systems. An example would be a test u/SWITCHWARE system utilizing the same HSM as the production system. This would result in a significant reduction in HSM hardware costs.

The HSM Server software can support up to four (4) physical HSM devices, which could allow for additional HSMs dedicated to ancillary functions such as PIN mailers.
