Springfield, MO: Great Southern Bank (GSB) is now live using SWITCHWARE® G4 to drive their new NCR Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) and to interface and settle with the Jack Henry Banking core software, SilverLake, using the jXchange middleware service.

Officially certified to support the latest ATM offering from NCR, SWITCHWARE’s new connection represents the first of its kind to Jack Henry’s jXchange system. The bank is currently operating one ITM and plans to add more in February.

Featuring a services-oriented architecture on a .NET platform, SilverLakes’s jXchange provides open connectivity between Jack Henry Banking’s core and complementary third party products. The scalable and open architecture of the platform maximizes the flexibility and leveraging of existing technology investment with its proven ability to seamlessly deploy solutions resolving operational challenges posed by evolving trends in financial products, services, and technology.

Designed to provide a cost effective new channel for banks to interact with their customers, GSB’s ITM users will have a choice to either insert their ATM/debit card in a traditional ATM fashion or interact with a live bank teller. The remote teller will be able to accept deposits, dispense withdrawals, perform transfers, update account information, and perform other traditional teller services all remotely from the ITM. The migration of routine, expensive transactions from the teller counter to the ATM channel combines the benefits of personal service with lower processing costs and matches customer demand for when and where live teller services are needed.
